Friends since their days at architecture school and longtime design collaborators, Ili Hidalgo-Nilsson and Luly Bestard-Melarti quickly recognized a niche in the design and construction world. They set out to capture that niche by creating a design-build studio where the architects, the interior designers and the contractors work under one roof, share a unified design vision, a common budget, and operate under one single-point of contact. This team approach creates a client-centered experience that is uniquely simple and stress-free. From this vision of white-glove service to our customers, and design-focused construction, Terracotta was born in 2005.
Their design-savvy approach is rounded out by seasoned builder Maurie Hullender, who joined the team at inception and oversees all construction functions along with Scott Madsen. Although Terracotta’s roots are in the residential field, their success has led them to expand their services to the boutique commercial and hospitality industry – an industry that offers many of the features of HOME to its patrons.
